Snack Ideas: Fruit Cubes

Now as an adult, I want to eat the things that gave me joy as a child. Things with bright colors and good flavor. So one day I had bought fruit, a bunch of different kinds. And as most people do after many busy days, I forgot to eat them.

But is this the end? No! We can always try different things to make our food last longer but for me, this was the easiest thing to do before the fruit went bad: fruit cubes!

I cut my fruit up, peeled it and put it in a blender. I didn't add anything else to it because it was already pretty soft. You could strain it to remove any pulp or seeds. I didn't for my kiwis but I did for the peaches.

I have different shapes for my ice cube trays but for this, I used the mini cubes and pour the mixture in. I let it sit overnight and it was ready to eat.

Put yours in a bowl and you have a safe alternative to ice cream.

What you need:

  • Blender

  • Any shaped mold or ice cube tray

  • Fruit

  • Water (optional, if the fruit isn't soft)

Instructions:

  1. Chop up your fruit and remove any unwanted bits (peels, seeds, or soft spots)

  2. Place in your blender and pulse until liquified.

  3. Gently pour the mixture into your ice cube tray or mold

  4. Place in freezer until completely frozen.

  5. Put in a bowl and enjoy!

Fruits I'd recommend trying this with:

Yellow peaches

Watermelon

Pineapple and orange

Kiwis

Berries

That's it! Thanks for reading this far and I hope you enjoy!
