Meal Staples: Mushrooms?
Usually when people mention mushrooms, I turn up my nose. If you asked me last week if I like mushrooms and if I had a recipe for them, I would say absolutely not. But today, it's changed a little. I've found a recipe that works for me and it tastes good.
I bought baby bella mushrooms and everything else I already had. I don't know much about mushrooms, if you know what works for you then please do that! But I think this is a good start for people who are trying new things.
Don't forget, if you didn't buy the precut ones, cut them cap to stem, long ways.
Ok! Sautéed mushrooms!
This is what you'll need:
Butter
Baby Bella Mushrooms
Seasonings and Spices (ginger, garlic, Italian, cumin, black pepper)
Onions optional
I started with a skillet and some butter on medium heat. While the heats up on you stove, grab your mushrooms and clean them up the best way you know how and dry them off a little. Then when the butter is melted, pour your mushrooms in the skillet. Let them brown a little and cut up your onions. Add them to the skillet and season everything, do as you like. I added more garlic and black pepper than anything else because that's what I like.
Anyway I'm not saying I like mushrooms now but... I'd make this again!
